This week, TQ looks at a Pakistani first: in 4 days, Pakistan will undergo a transition from one democratically elected government to the next for the first time. The election trail has been contentious with sparring political parties to bomb blasts and threats issued by various militant groups. While much of the coverage has focused on one candidate or the other, TQ steps back to ask broader questions: What is the status of Balochistan? Is patronage still the the model for present-day politics, or isn’t it?
TQ will be releasing articles the entire week.
As always, the articles are available in English and Urdu. Read them, tweet them, share them–and join the conversation with us on Twitter: @TanqeedOrg or Facebook.
